JOB SUMMARY This position will support the institution's efforts to ensure export control compliance and safeguard research by assisting with research security and export control processes. This position works under minimal supervision to review activities, maintain records, and support faculty and staff in meeting federal and institutional requirements related to national security and international collaborations.

Experience and Education

Required

Education : Bachelor's Degree

Experience : Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Familiarity with or willingness to learn about export control regulations (EAR, ITAR, OFAC).

Preferred

0–2 years of related experience; internships or compliance experience

Job Duties Conduct initial screenings of research projects and international engagements

Conduct export control reviews for shipments, research projects, agreements, and personnel

Conduct restricted party screening and maintain tracking logs and reports

Monitor and review foreign engagements, travel, and shipment requests for security risk

Assist in the administration of Technology Control Plans (TCPs)

Provide support for internal training coordination and compliance outreach

Help maintain internal documentation, filing systems, and compliance software tools

Stay updated on emerging issues in research security and export control

Performs other duties as assigned
