Complete Professional Services (CPS) is searching for a Virtualization Senior Systems Engineer – Senior who will provide engineering support for the design and employment of VMWare infrastructure in support of the NETCOM G35. The successful candidate will analyze and troubleshoot VMware Server deployment and virtualization issues, identify important potential technologies and approaches to address current and future needs within the enterprise, evaluate their applicability and fit, and make recommendations to the Government based on the evaluation. Additionally, the candidate will assist the Government in defining standards for virtualization technologies and best practices for their use. Highlights of Responsibilities: Provide Army Enterprise virtualization capability to install, configure, and manage a highly available and scalable virtual infrastructure. Plan, install, configure, and upgrade support for vCenter Server and VMware ESXi, including planning and configuring vSphere networking and storage solutions. Develop plans for deploying and administering virtual machines and vApps, establish and maintain service levels, perform basic troubleshooting, monitor vSphere implementations, and manage vCenter server alarms. Prepare Engineering Task Plans (ETPs) for configuring and managing virtual networks, configuring and managing virtual storage, and virtual machine management. Prepare ETPs and provide input on data protection, access, authentication control, resource management, monitoring, high availability, fault tolerance, and scalable virtualized infrastructure. Participate in Enterprise testing for integration of proposed new technologies to be included in the Enterprise design and develop test-related documentation. Research and analyze DoD and DA policies to mitigate integration problems that may impact the Enterprise projects. Develop initial system baseline documentation, control system changes for the project configuration management database, and maintain system baselines throughout the system lifecycle. Draft, coordinate, and finalize documentation to ensure the integration of virtualization within the Enterprise. Provide Army Enterprise procedures, such as an implementation guide, to ensure technical solutions and schedules are identified within suspense timelines and adhere to Government operational/technical requirements and standards. Qualifications

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Experience with VMWare infrastructure, including vCenter Server and VMware ESXi. Knowledge of virtualization technologies, including virtual platforms, virtual OS, virtual applications, and hypervisors. Experience with designing and implementing security domains within virtualized environments. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Additional Information

Preferred Education and Experience: Experience in the following areas: vCloud and managed hosting services in a distributed environment; virtualization of storage and network; design of bare metal hardware to full virtualization of hosted applications; capacity planning and reporting; and designing complex networks, VLANs, PVPLANS, and cross-security zoning design and implementation. Knowledge and experience in technologies such as virtual platforms, virtual OS, virtual applications, VMWare, hypervisors, and virtual storage.
