Summary
Control all aspects related to Linux system administration in the Colorado Springs and Austin EM offices, including remote users/sites as applicable with adherence to Group IT policies. Support Windows users via Active Directory configuration. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain Linux servers and workstations on premises including hardware, software, and operating systems (physical and virtual) Plan, coordinate, and execute Linux systems installations, upgrades and maintenance (patching) Create and support user account setup using MS Active Directory Provide help desk support for end-users, account setup and maintenance. Debug issues (HW/SW), network/VPN connectivity, App installation and troubleshooting Monitor and resolve system performance issues Specify and order laptops for end users, simulation servers, peripherals, and supplies Install, configure, and deploy end-user hardware, software, printers, OS, applications, and patches Maintain software licensing, subscriptions, IT inventory, and documentation Maintenance of a variety of EDA tools, design kits, and support libraries in collaboration with EM HQ CAD and Linux support team Coordinate with SGIT to ensure simulation servers have appropriate Backup/Restore capability. Support SGIT with any disaster recovery/continuity testing Coordinate and collaborate with EM HQ IT and Swatch Group IT as needed IT budget, master plan, and project tracking New technology testing and implementation Profile
Personal Attributes: Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to multitask under pressure and meet deadlines Strong organizational skills Methodical and efficient problem solving and troubleshooting abilities Flexible, energetic, and self-motivated Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and work off/weekend hours occasionally Professional requirements
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or significant industry experience can be applied without a degree Experience: 5-10 years of professional Information Technology experience maintaining, implementing, and modifying IT systems including hardware and software Essential: Experience with Microsoft technologies including Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2022, AD, GPOs, IIS, RHEL 7/8/9 Server and Workstation, NFS Foreman, Ansible, LVM, Samba, Apache, PHP, Mysql/MariaDB, Perl, FlexLM, rsync, shell scripts, DHCP, DNS, PBIS, NoMachine, EDA tools, Synology appliances, Infoblox, Lansweeper
