Location: Alsip, IL, United States Employment Type: Regular Category: Logistics Posting Date: Sep 18, 2025 The position is based in Alsip, IL.
Starting pay is $24/hr . Our positions are 12 hour shifts, 5:30 am – 5:30 pm or 5:30 pm – 5:30 am. This position reports directly to the Alsip Production Supervisor. Responsibilities
Monitor the filtration operation for latex products off multiple reactor lines. Load latex products into various containers for shipment to customers. Follow housekeeping and safety procedures to ensure personal safety and the safety of others. Unload deliveries at the warehouse dock. Attend daily meetings and provide routine communication on daily loading activities and production needs. Follow up these communications in writing, by telephone or e-mail as needed. Use a computer to communicate via e-mail, complete online training and other tasks as assigned. Work closely with the control room operator to maintain operations. Complete daily and weekend checklists, including daily inventory. Ensure workplace safety by conducting safety observations and reviews while adhering to safety regulations and procedures. Comply with standard procedures and work instructions to ensure productivity, quality assurance and cost effectiveness. Identify and communicate potential gains or improvements to the management system. Support the site HES (Health and Environmental Safety) policy and comply with all regulatory and internal requirements. Participate in HES activities provided by site management and Arkema, Inc. (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.). Promote the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications / Experience Required
High school diploma / GED required. One to three years’ warehousing or logistics experience in a chemical or manufacturing environment is preferred. Ability to work with minimal supervision while acting as a strong team member. Previous forklift or powered industrial equipment license or certification is preferred. Must be able to climb ladders and work at significant heights. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds; both to carry and to lift overhead. Must be able to wear a respirator. Must be able to enter confined spaces. Must be a highly motivated, team player and able to work independently. About Arkema
