Software Engineer III , you’ll design and sustain innovative automation tools and infrastructure software that empower
High Performance Computing (HPC) systems
in a Linux environment. Your work won’t just keep systems running—it will strengthen the very foundation of mission-critical operations. Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Include
Designing, developing, and enhancing automation tools to support system management infrastructure for HPC.
Using the
Linux CLI
and Bash scripting to streamline manual processes and improve efficiency.
Developing secure, scalable solutions in
Python
that support compliance and system integrity.
Maintaining
security compliance standards
and managing user access in mission environments.
Leveraging
Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools
like Netbox and observability platforms such as Splunk to monitor and optimize performance.
Creating clear, practical documentation including
SSPs, CONOPS, user guides, and how-to manuals .
Implementing automation frameworks like
Ansible
to orchestrate deployments.
Supporting
CI/CD pipelines
in GitLab CI and Jenkins to keep delivery fast and reliable.
Collaborating across teams in an
Agile or SAFe environment
to align technical solutions with mission needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Clearance:
Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (must be active). We cannot sponsor clearances.
Citizenship:
Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas.
Education & Experience: Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field +
5 years of SWE experience , OR
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field +
7 years of SWE experience , OR
9 years of relevant experience
in lieu of a degree.
Required Skills
Proficiency with the
Linux CLI
and Linux tools.
Strong experience developing
Bash and Python scripts
to automate processes.
Recent hands-on
software development in Python .
Experience maintaining
system security compliance
and user management.
Familiarity with
DCIM tools
(e.g., Netbox).
Experience with
observability platforms
such as Splunk.
Ability to develop and maintain
technical documentation
(SSPs, CONOPS, guides, manuals).
Experience with
Ansible
for automation and deployment.
Knowledge of
CI/CD methodologies
with tools like GitLab CI and Jenkins.
Experience with
Git
for source control.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with the
Atlassian Suite
(Jira, Confluence).
Familiarity with
Agile, Scrum, or SAFe frameworks .
Compensation Range: $179,000.00 - $237,000.00 *The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
