Overview
The RN Case Manager supports physicians and the interdisciplinary team in facilitating patient care. The role aims to enhance clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction, manage care costs, and provide timely, accurate information to payers. This position integrates and coordinates utilization management, care coordination, and discharge planning. The Case Manager is responsible for a designated patient caseload, planning effectively to meet patient needs, manage length of stay, and promote resource efficiency. Qualifications
Education: Minimum of A.S.N. from an accredited college or university (BSN preferred) and current Alabama licensure. Experience: At least three years of acute care experience required. Additional Skills/Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills; strong organizational and time management abilities demonstrated by prioritizing multiple tasks; ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment when interacting with physicians, patients, families, and payers.
