We are critical to the firm maintaining its competitive edge.**Programme Description**Blackstone's Summer Analyst Program is a 10 week in-person experience, offering participants extensive exposure across the firm. This program provides Summer Analysts with valuable guidance through mentorship, continuous feedback, technical and soft skill training, networking opportunities with professionals across the firm and the unique chance to fully immerse themselves in Blackstone's culture.**Job Description**As a Software Developer Summer Analyst, you will develop innovative technologies that are changing the Alternative Asset Management industry. You will work with other engineers and business analysts to design, build, deploy, and support Blackstone Innovations' suite of applications.Our custom-built applications are mostly developed in Python or C# on the .NET platform with JavaScript/React/Node.js and hosted within AWS. We take full advantage of cloud native container-based and serverless architectures. We also build robust data pipelines connecting to Snowflake for data analysis and visualization. You will devise elegant solutions to Blackstone's most meaningful technical challenges and put your own best ideas to work in an entrepreneurial environment inside one of the leading companies in its industry.**Summer Analyst work may include:*** Build web applications, services, and functionality on a variety of platforms* Develop on top of AWS in order to build scalable and robust solutions* Utilize Docker to create containerized microservices* Automate infrastructure configuration using Terraform and Puppet* Use tools such as Airflow and Snowflake to build data pipelines* Integrate various JavaScript libraries such as React to deliver seamless user experiences* Design data models and persist data to SQL Server* Use T-SQL to manipulate and transform data* Utilize Kafka and SQS for messaging* Improve search using Apache Solr* Build caching layers using Redis* Use TeamCity and Jenkins to automate deployments* Write automated unit, integration and deployment tests* Build tooling to automate away repetitive tasks**Qualifications**Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.The successful candidate must possess:* Object-oriented programming experience in any language* A desire to learn and adapt to new technologies* A self-starting, entrepreneurial attitude* Strong verbal and written communication skills* A desire to work in a team environment with dynamic roles* Self-motivation to find solutions independently, and humility to acknowledge limits and uncertainties* Sincere commitment to personal and professional development* Excellent attention to detail* Intellectual curiosity* Good judgementTo be considered for the 2026 Summer Analyst Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:* Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or masters student* Anticipated graduation date: Summer 2027* CV must include expected graduation month/year and grade* CV must be in PDF format*Knowledge of accounting and finance and experience of investment banking are desirable, but not necessary.*The Principles that Matter Most:* Accountability* Excellence* Integrity* Team Work* EntrepreneurshipEverything we do is guided by these principles, which define our character and culture; they have been at the core of Blackstone since its inception.
