Acute Care Surgeon - Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville (UFCOM-J), Department of Surgery, Division of Acute Care Surgery. We are growing the division to eleven full-time surgeons and will continue to expand our clinical mission. Responsibilities include coverage of the full spectrum of acute care surgery, including adult and pediatric trauma care, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care. The division utilises a shared service model and collaborates with nine Advanced Practice Providers and two Surgical Psychologists. The faculty will participate in clinical service, supervision of learners (medical students, residents, physician assistant students, and other trainees), and contribute to research portfolios (clinical, translational, and collaborative preclinical studies). Opportunities for research partnerships with UF Gainesville and external entities are common. The department currently has a freestanding general surgical residency, a surgical critical care fellowship, and a growing educational footprint. Academic appointment will commensurate with training and level of experience; benefits are excellent. Qualifications

Candidates should have an
MD/DO
and board eligibility/board certification. Candidates must either have or be eligible for
