Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates an opening for a leave replacement School Psychologist for the Local School Building programs which serves Special Education students with various learning and social-emotional disabilities. Duties include completing psycho-educational assessments, providing indicated IEP individual and group counseling services, collaborating with other professionals and/or agencies that provide services, consulting with and providing support to special education teachers, completing Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans, working with students' families and support networks, providing referral and linking services for both students and families, assisting families in completing necessary applications for recommended services, and maintaining accurate documentation of services provided.

Qualifications
NYS School Psychologist certification required. Knowledge of evidence-based practices that support social and emotional needs within various settings. Knowledge of MTSS systems; DBT and behavior analysis preferred. Characteristics Desired
Extensive knowledge of approaches for students with autism, emotional disabilities, and/or multiple disabilities. Ability to positively manage student behavior in a school setting. Must be organized; able to document mandated services and work in multiple teams. Positive, can-do attitude and commitment to the BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
