The Department of History at Rowan University is seeking a non-tenure track, three-quarter time faculty member in the history of gender and the early modern Atlantic world (1500-1800), to start in January 2026. The position carries a teaching load of three courses per semester and has no required service. The position may be renewed annually, and the normal contract year extends from September 1 to June 30. Responsibilities
Teach survey and upper division courses in the area of historical specialty. Possibly teach courses for Rowan’s Women’s and Gender Studies Program or for the MA program in history. Demonstrate ability to teach early modern European, American, or cross-Atlantic global histories to undergraduate and graduate students. Qualifications
