The Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) team is looking for a passionate, talented, and inventive Applied Scientist with a strong deep learning background, to build industry-leading Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) technology with Large Language Models (LLMs) and multimodal systems.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of algorithms and modeling techniques to advance the state of the art with LLMs.

Work with peers to deliver GenAI-enabled products and services that impact customers.

Leverage Amazon’s heterogeneous data sources and large-scale computing resources to accelerate advances in LLMs.

About the Team The AGI team has a mission to push the envelope in GenAI with LLMs and multimodal systems, in order to provide the best-possible experience for our customers.

Basic Qualifications

PhD, or Master\'s degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience

1+ years of building models for business application experience

Experience with generative deep learning models applicable to the creation of synthetic humans like CNNs, GANs, VAEs and NF

Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related field

Strong experience with Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs)

Experience with patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals

Experience with popular deep learning frameworks, including PyTorch

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
