Under general direction, the Teacher provides a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop intellectually and socially to fulfill their academic potential. Develops, plans, implements, assesses, and delivers lessons; evaluates student’s progress; maintains proper classroom control and learning environment; assists in curriculum development; supports and supervises co-curricular activities.

White Rd, San Jose, CA 95127 DESCRIPTION OF SCHOOL Escuela Popular (EP) was founded in 1986 as a grassroots, community-based school to meet the growing demand for English instruction in East San Jose. Over the years, EP has expanded significantly, now serving over 800 students across three age-appropriate programs. Our students are predominantly Latino, many from Spanish-speaking households. EP’s Elementary School (K-8) implements a Two-Way Dual Language Immersion program, with Spanish as the target language. Our high school programs include: Under 19 High School Program:
Serves students ages 14-19. Over 19 High School Program:
Serves adult learners in morning and evening classes, offering childcare services for students who need them.
