DevOps Software Engineer III , you’ll play a key role in integrating, automating, and scaling solutions for High Performance Computing (HPC) environments. Your work will directly impact national security missions by ensuring critical systems remain secure, high-performing, and resilient. If you’re passionate about bridging development and operations to deliver lasting mission impact, this is the role for you. Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Include
Developing and maintaining
automated infrastructure solutions
to support HPC system scalability and availability.
Installing, configuring, and supporting
COTS, GOTS, and FOSS software
in a Linux environment.
Writing and optimizing scripts with
Shell, Bash, and Python
to streamline workflows and system operations.
Administering Linux systems for integration, service management, configuration, and sustainment.
Designing and developing robust solutions using
Java and Python .
Supporting
Big Data stream/batch processing frameworks
to enable advanced analytics.
Implementing
CI/CD pipelines
with GitLab CI to deliver fast and reliable updates.
Applying
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
principles using Ansible to automate provisioning and configuration.
Deploying containerized services with
Docker and Kubernetes .
Monitoring system performance and health using tools such as
Prometheus and Grafana .
Collaborating with mission stakeholders, DevOps, and development teams to optimize deployment pipelines and improve efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
Clearance:
Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (must be active). We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances.
Citizenship:
Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas.
Education & Experience: Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, plus
5 years of SWE experience
on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity, OR
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, plus
7 years of SWE experience , OR
9 years of experience
as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity.
Required Skills
Strong proficiency with the
Linux CLI .
Hands-on scripting experience with
Shell, Bash, and Python .
Linux administration expertise, including software integration, service management, provisioning, and networking.
Proven experience installing and supporting
COTS/GOTS/FOSS software .
Advanced software development experience with
Java and Python .
Experience with
Big Data processing frameworks
(stream and batch).
Familiarity with
CI/CD principles
and tools like GitLab CI.
Experience with
IaC tools
such as Ansible.
Proficiency with
containerization technologies
(Docker) and orchestration using
Kubernetes .
Experience using
Prometheus/Grafana
for monitoring and metrics.
Proficiency with
Git
for source code management and collaboration.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with the
Atlassian Tool Suite
(JIRA, Confluence).
Exposure to team-based Agile methodologies, including Scrum or SAFe.
Compensation Range: $179,000.00 - $237,000.00 *The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
