Job Description
Our client is seeking a Research Scientist to join our team. Responsibilities:
The candidate will be a member of the Tumor Cell Biology-Epigenetic group. Design and execute experiments to evaluate, characterize, and validate the mechanism of action of epigenetic targets in oncology using shRNA or small molecule inhibitors in human cell lines. Present results and recommendations at local project team and related meetings as part of a multidisciplinary team. Contribute to creating an innovative, collaborative, and scientifically rigorous working environment. Qualifications
Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong background in Cell and Molecular Biology with understanding of epigenetic biology. Extensive experience in molecular and cell biology techniques including human cell culture, qPCR, western blotting, immunoprecipitation (including ChIP), proliferation assays, flow cytometry, and immunofluorescence. B.S. degree with 7+ years of experience; M.S. degree with 5+ years of experience. Experience in pharma or biotech environment is preferred. Understanding of oncology drug discovery is required. Experience in epigenetics is highly preferred, but candidates with strong molecular biology and gene transcription knowledge will also be considered. Additional Information
