A well-established global manufacturer is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to join their team on 2nd shift in the northeastern corridor of Dallas.
This role ensures environmental safety and industrial health programs are implemented and maintained at the assigned site, promoting regulatory compliance and a safe, responsible work environment aligned with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Assist with audits, inspections, and timely submission of regulatory reports. Respond to and support site emergencies. Conduct incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions. Deliver EHS training (classroom and online) to support safety and compliance. Enforce safety rules, work procedures, and regulatory requirements. Report EHS issues and improvement opportunities to the EHS Manager. Support communication with environmental and safety regulatory agencies. Support EMS and HSMS implementation, maintenance, and internal audits. Contribute to continuous improvement using the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle. Complete tasks related to environmental permits and programs. Support waste management and pollution reduction efforts. Tour work area to identify and correct unsafe behaviors/conditions. Conduct safety drills and support emergency response activities. Lead or assist with risk assessments and Management of Change (MOC) reviews. Support industrial hygiene monitoring (hearing/respiratory protection). Participate in safety reviews and industrial trial assessments. Perform other EHS duties as assigned. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Job Requirements
Bachelor degree in science field or equivalent plus 3-5 years’ experience and knowledge in regulatory compliance in a chemical manufacturing plant. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Knowledge/experience with OSHA programs including fall protection, machine guarding, hazardous materials, PPE, electrical safety, fire protection, hearing conservation, respiratory protection, and with SPCC, SWPPP and RCRA programs. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint within a Windows environment. Valid U.S. driver’s license. Hours 11 am to 8 pm. Salary and Benefits
