This senior-level Inspector ensures compliance with all NFPA codes, state and local regulations, and internal standards, while also mentoring junior Inspectors and leading high-impact projects. Key Responsibilities: Conduct inspections and testing of complex fire alarm and sprinkler systems in compliance with NFPA 72, NFPA 25, and other applicable codes. Troubleshoot, service, and perform repairs on a wide variety of fire alarm and sprinkler equipment. Program, commission, and complete final walk-throughs on new system installations. Document inspections, deficiencies, repairs, and recommendations thoroughly. Provide mentorship and on-the-job training to Level I and II technicians. Communicate system conditions, deficiencies, and solutions clearly with customers. Collaborate with project and design teams to validate system specifications and code compliance. Maintain tools, equipment, and stocked inventory in company vehicle. Evaluate customer systems and recommend upgrades or additional services. Perform emergency troubleshooting and support, both on-site and remotely. Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, lifts, or in confined spaces. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 5 years of experience with fire alarm and sprinkler systems. Experience in advanced inspections, layout, troubleshooting, or project management. Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Windows, Outlook, iOS/Android, and industry-specific tools. Skilled in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and system layouts. Valid U.S. driver's license. Preferred Qualifications: 5–10 years of experience in fire alarm and sprinkler systems. NICET III Certification in Fire Alarm Systems or Special Hazards Suppression. Background in low-voltage systems or electrical engineering. Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience. Compensation: Starting hourly rate is $35.00 hr. + (based on experience and certifications). Physical Requirements: Must occasionally lift/move up to 75 lbs. Frequent climbing, kneeling, standing, and dexterous work. Adequate vision and physical capability for fieldwork. While performing the duties of this job, the Inspector is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The Team member is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Inspector is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and climb stairs, or balance. The Inspector must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
