We are seeking a passionate Care Home Assistant Manager (LPN) responsible for managing the daily operations of the ARCH/Care Home in the absence of the Primary Caregiver (Care Home Manager). This role ensures the delivery of high-quality care to residents and provides supervision to care home staff while on duty. Observes, documents and reports changes in health status of residents; contacts physicians and/or APRN and schedules appointments as necessary. Processes physician orders. Administers medications and performs procedures and/or treatments according to recognized standards of nursing practice and in conformance with policies of Care Homes by Hale Makua. Performs admission assessment in absence of Primary (Care Home Manager) and develops plan of care accordingly. When needed, coordinates and performs necessary duties related to discharge and/or transfer. Completes required documentation such as monthly progress notes, plan of care, incident reports, and treatment notes in an accurate and timely manner. Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Hawaii. Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviation. Minimum one-year recent experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a healthcare setting; supervisory experience preferred. Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house). First Aid and CPR preferred (can be done in-house). Weekend availability. The Benefits
