We are currently conducting a national expansion and seeking HypoPara Clinical Specialists who will be responsible for understanding and identifying a customer’s needs, supporting pull-through activities relative to the customer strategy, and ensuring that Ascendis Pharma is viewed as a valued partner to healthcare professionals and their patients. This person will have a primary focus on supporting the launch of Yorvipath. Responsibilities

Develop superior product and disease state knowledge to engage in appropriate clinical dialogue with healthcare professionals. Educate on approved indications and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on-label prescribing for appropriate patients. Engage in customized discussions and in-person interactions based on customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner. Drive outstanding sales performance to meet or exceed sales forecasts. Effectively use assigned budgets to drive therapeutic and territory expectations. Maintain current understanding of local market, practice structures, business models, and key influencers; share information with relevant Ascendis stakeholders. Work with customers and accounts to understand practice structure, business model, key influencers, network structure, and customer needs to identify business opportunities. Use analytical tools to understand and evaluate the business to accomplish sales objectives and apply resources effectively and ethically. Collaborate with leaders to develop a business plan that achieves goals and delivery on sales objectives; understand formulary approvals and opportunities within the plan. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver resources and pull-through within the territory. Demonstrate administrative excellence in managing work hours, sales call data, customer objective responses, samples, expenses, and other administrative items. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. 5+ years of previous sales experience in a specialty sales environment, preferably rare disease and injectable experience; adult endocrinology disease state experience preferred. Ability to work in ambiguous, changing environments; start-up experience preferred. Experience with complex distribution systems and HUB services to ensure a smooth customer experience. Proven history of strong performance and demonstrated current strong performance. Experience in a new product launch environment preferred. Demonstrated experience working with patient services in a distribution HUB and specialty pharmacies. Self-starter with excellent decision-making, judgment, and ethics. Proven ability to collaborate with peers and across functions. Experience in a specialty drug (rare/orphan disease) environment to address customer and patient needs in a compliant way. Ability to develop a successful business plan based on customer and patient needs. Ability to analyze data/metrics to assess progress against objectives and diagnose performance issues. Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information in a highly adaptable, ethical, and effective manner. Ability to meet all credentialing requirements; updates or repeat screenings may be necessary depending on territory, health system/customer demand, and company policy. Valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Overnight travel required. Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $190k/year. Actual salary determination is dependent on a variety of factors, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
