Overview

Responsible for preparing and rendering radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies, utilizing variety of equipment while following prescribed procedures. Responsibilities

Mixes stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculates doses, and administers doses, under direction of physician. Calibrates equipment. Performs diagnostic studies on patients as prescribed by physician, using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film. Measures radioactivity, using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors. Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under direction of physician. Follows radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Required: HS Diploma or equivalent experience. Current license with the NJDEP in nuclear medicine Registration or certification by ARRT, NMTCB, or CAMRT Relevant Experience: 1+ years preferred Employment history of working in an office-based setting is preferred EEO Statement
