Our services and specialties in the BluePearl Georgia hospitals include 24/7 emergency medicine, diagnostic imaging and radiology, dermatology and allergy medicine, internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology, and orthopedic/soft tissue surgery. The BluePearl emERge Program is designed to give veterinary school graduates the necessary training to become successful Emergency Veterinarians. It is a full-time job from the very beginning, and we will prepare you for your first solo emergency shift at one of our BluePearl hospitals. The program combines lectures, interactive seminars, labs, mentoring, and hands-on practice experience. Not only will you receive valuable training from experienced veterinarians, you will also be paid a salary from the first day of your course. This program does not replace or substitute an internship which is required for application to a residency.

Program Structure
EmERge is a one-year training program divided into three segments. Your salary will be tiered and increase as you complete each segment of the program. How it works
Phase 1:
2 weeks of virtual learning, 2 weeks of an in-person hands-on bootcamp in Eden Prairie, MN (lodging & airfare are provided), and 10 weeks of in-hospital ER and specialty training.
Phase 2:
In-hospital, immersive training guided by an experienced clinician and an assigned mentor.
Phase 3:
Continued in-hospital experiential training with ongoing mentoring.
After completing your year of training and graduating from the EmERge program, you’ll continue to practice at your home hospital for one year as a full-time, fully-fledged emergency veterinarian.
The total commitment is two years, including the initial year of training. Real-world salary:
Competitive salary and increases are built into the program, starting from day one. Phase 1 (Weeks 1-14): $120,000/year
Phase 2 (Weeks 15-32): $120,000/year
Phase 3 (Weeks 33-52): Full salary plus production bonuses where applicable
