A leading MEP firm seeks a skilled Mechanical HVAC Engineer to design and oversee HVAC systems for MEP projects. This role will lead the development of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, ensuring code compliance and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
Design HVAC systems, including air distribution, chillers, and VRF systems, using AutoCAD and Revit. Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and ductwork/piping layouts to meet project requirements. Prepare construction documents and specifications, ensuring compliance with ASHRAE, IMC, and local codes. Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and architectural teams to integrate designs. Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and provide technical support during construction. Mentor junior designers and ensure quality control for HVAC deliverables. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license. 5+ years of experience in HVAC design for MEP projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
