* Works with the Plant and Quality Manager to establish annual goals and objectives for the site.* Works with Research and Development on new product introductions.* Develop new blending procedures to adapt to new ingredients and formulations.* Daily operational responsibilities include developing/issuing batch manufacturing instructions, as well as color matching existing products to the specified standard.* Utilizes statistical methods for color matching and process optimization to maintain and improve quality/yields.* Identifies and implements projects to achieve cost savings and resolve long-term operational safety and quality issues.* Investigate customer complaints, working closely with operations, quality, and R&D to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.* Support Allen-Bradley PLC system.* Support internal and external GMP audits.* Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the site.* A Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Engineering, Pharmaceutical or related discipline.* One to five years in chemical manufacturing or a pharmaceutical environment.* Previous cGMP manufacturing experience, including ISO 9001, FSSC22000, IPEC, or FDA Quality Management Systems.* Individual must be able to respond appropriately during site emergencies as directed by the Site Emergency Manager.* Experience with color matching is preferred* Ability to interface well with employees involved in manufacturing, quality control, and members of the site Leadership Team.* Ability to 1) identify critical issues and formulate action plans with all levels of management, including Corporate, 2) develop and foster a positive work environment at all levels, and 3) resolve conflicts through problem resolution skills.* Ability to identify Quality improvement opportunities and formulate action plans for implementation. This requires exceptional work planning and problem-solving skills.* Ability to perform physical activities which include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting 25 lbs., or reaching, depending on the work activity required. Work is performed in an office/plant environment with frequent trips to the operating areas.* This position may require international travel.* Must be authorized to work in the US.
