Join AZAD Technology Partners as an Electrical Engineer and work in the Telecommunications Engineering organization. The Telecommunications function provides engineering, design, and field support telecommunication facilities and associated equipment. This includes fiber optics, analog/mobile radio, digital radio, power line carrier, operational telephone, microwave towers and antennas, emergency AC/DC power and UPS (uninterruptible power supply) systems, communications buildings, multiplex equipment, and monitoring systems including alarm system, Fault Locating Acquisition Reporter, microwave monitor, wide area networks used for operational data and network management. This position provides professional engineering expertise in assisting the project manager and other engineering personnel in implementing projects; supporting field maintenance crews and operations; and other related engineering activities. This is a 2 years plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid with onsite 1 - 2 days weekly as needed in Vancouver, Washington. The hourly pay rate range for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $4.93) is $35.00 - $42.00 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package. The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications: A bachelor\'s degree in engineering, preferably in Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering, is required. Candidates 3 months from graduation will be considered. Proof of degree may be requested after graduation. (Request attestation from supplier confirming degree was obtained) 6 months of experience in Telecommunications Engineering or closely related field is required. Must have knowledge of engineering concepts, principles and practices applicable to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system. Skill in oral and written communication to effectively fulfill client/customer/team requirements Valid U.S. Driver\'s License is required. Preferred Skills
Experience or knowledge regarding preliminary engineering, design, and construction of telecommunications or network engineering projects in a utility environment. Experience or knowledge regarding the review and evaluation of design packages (including drawings, material certifications and submittals for conformance to the design specifications). Knowledge of backbone infrastructure connectivity including microwave radio and fiber optic telecommunications systems.
