Responsible for providing mechanical and/or structural engineering services including pipe engineering design for pipe supports, skids, ductwork, pressure parts, structural support, and managing outsourced engineering design. Produces designed items, parts, and components of complex equipment, assemblies, steel frames, connections, piping, and pressure parts using knowledge of basic engineering principles and current manufacturing or fabrication methods. Coordinates work to interface with other departments and outside vendors. Design and analyze structures such as ductwork, frame structures, skids, piping, pressure parts, and supports. Generate load diagrams for equipment, duct support, and steel frame loads. Ensure the structural integrity of piping, ductwork, pressure parts, supports, and the constructibility of structures. Conduct site assessments and gather information for ductwork and piping arrangements and proposals. Prepare 3D analysis models for new and modified designs. Present analysis results effectively through written reports, drawings, sketches, spreadsheets, or presentations. Monitor vendor work, including schedule, budget, scope, technical reviews, and deliverables. Review drawings, bills of materials, and designs to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, ISO instructions, and customer specifications. Ensure project adherence to schedules. Review customer specifications and documents for design compliance. Support proposal development and estimate man-hours and materials. Participate in meetings with customer engineering teams or other company units as needed. Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, or structural engineering; Master’s degree is a plus. Experience reading boiler general arrangements, detailed drawings, piping layouts, pipe isometric drawings, and pipe support details. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in piping, ductwork, pressure parts, or related design. Working knowledge of ASME BPVC Sections I, XIII, and B31.1/B31.3. Knowledge of weld design per AWS D1.1/D1.3 and ASME Section IX. Experience with STAAD.Pro, AutoPIPE, or Caesar. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Organized and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects, and respond quickly to requests. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required. Professional Engineer license is preferred.
