Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full-Time Advanced Practice Professional (NP/PA) for a great opportunity in Northern New Jersey.
The role joins the Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute, Cardiothoracic Surgery Program at Morristown Medical Center. This position is ideal for self-starters and offers the opportunity to be part of a growing and well-established group with a robust staff.
Responsibilities
Work in the 24-bed Critical Care unit and be integral in the pre/post operative care of cardiac surgery patients in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team that includes surgeons, intensivists, NPs and PAs.
Demonstrate procedural experience including central line placements and arterial line (A-line) insertions, and initiate appropriate interventions and orders and diagnostic tests.
Qualifications
Graduated from an accredited APN/PA program
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
ACLS and BLS certification required
Previous cardiovascular surgical patient management experience preferred
Minimum of 3 years Critical Care experience is preferred
Strong work ethic and a team player who can work independently
