QAAutomationEngineer – Credit Risk Testing - Hybrid (2x/week) Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex

Our client, a leading consumer finance organization, is seeking a
QA Automation Engineer
to join its Credit Risk Implementation team. You will support testing of credit and collections strategies within a decision engine, automating logic validation and ensuring that strategy changes are released defect-free.
This is a
contract-to-hire
position on a team where we have already placed
six successful consultants . The long-term opportunity includes growing into strategy testing ownership and credit platform support.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain automation scripts to test credit decision strategies
Write test cases for logic validation, regression, and edge cases
Use tools like
Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
to automate QA processes
Collaborate with BAs, developers, and credit analysts to verify business logic
Debug failed tests and triage defects using
Splunk, AppDynamics, or similar
Participate in Agile planning, backlog grooming, and code reviews as needed
Provide support during production deployments (nights/weekends, rotating)
Required Qualifications
3–6 years of experience in QA automation using
Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
Proficiency in
JavaScript, Python , or other scripting languages
Experience writing test cases and building reusable test frameworks
Exposure to credit decisioning or rules-based logic (e.g., credit, fraud, collections)
Strong debugging skills using tools like
Splunk, Grafana, or AppDynamics
Experience with Agile/DevOps teams
Must reside in the
Dallas–Fort Worth area
and be open to hybrid work
U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder

Nice-to-Haves
Familiarity with FICO Decision Modeler or other decision engine platforms
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation in DevOps environments
Exposure to credit policy or collections testing logic
