Services aircraft, directing incoming and outgoing aircraft near terminal area or flight line to assist pilot maneuvering on the ground, using hand or light signals or driving a light truck with guiding sign; secure aircraft in parking position with blocks and stakes; operate service vehicles to replenish fuel, oil, water, waste system chemicals, oxygen, hydraulic fluid, and to remove waste. Check for fuel contamination by draining sumps and fuel drains. Enter servicing descriptions into maintenance records. Operate ground support equipment such as electrical power supply and engine starting units. Examine tires for specified air pressure and condition; remove and replace defective tires. Position and remove boarding platforms to load or unload aircraft passengers. Unload and load luggage and cargo using a tow truck with luggage carts. Clean exterior or interior of aircraft wings and assemblies with glycol mixture; perform periodic housekeeping and manage fluid spills using ladders, brushes, rags, hoses and cleaning compounds. May install drag chutes or retrieve them and send them to parachute shop for repacking. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on applicable T/M/S aircraft. Perform flight line essential services and other maintenance actions as directed to support the daily flight schedule. Shall be licensed to drive and operate Ground Support Equipment (GSE). Aircraft Servicer roles include Plane Captain certification per Government-approved process for each T/M/S applicable to background/expertise. Direct aircraft during ground operations and perform additional tasks: service aircraft on the flight line, operate service vehicles to replenish fluids, record servicing actions, check for contamination, and operate GSE (tow tractors, jacks, hydraulic jenny, engine starting units). Assist in jacking and towing aircraft, load/unload stores and cargo, and clean interiors/exteriors and perform hangar deck housekeeping and fluid spill cleanup. Training and Education

* Military VMET or JST MUST be included with application to be considered (if prior military) Shall have completed the appropriate Navy Skill Specialty T/M/S Class "C" school in airframes, electronics, avionics, hydraulic, or power plants and related systems training or USMC/USCG equivalent. Minimum of two (2) years O level aircraft maintenance experience with at least one year on one type of the listed aircraft; F-18. Capable of performing pre/post flight, daily inspections and aircraft servicing functions. Must be able to operate GSE in support of the assigned airframe. Maintenance experience in one or more areas such as aircraft structures, hydraulics, pneumatics, or egress systems is desirable. High School graduate or equivalent. Valid driver’s license required. Ability to obtain/maintain secret security clearance. Availability to work any shift; travel may be required. Benefits
