We are currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in land development and design for our Chattanooga, TN location. This demanding and fast-paced position requires a personable candidate with extensive experience managing civil engineers and their projects. The role involves maintaining overall schedules and ensuring work is completed on time. The candidate will coordinate with potential project partners and foster relationships between managers and new business prospects. A deep and broad engineering knowledge is essential.
Duties
Effectively work independently and in a team environment.
Develop detailed site plans from concept through construction.
Design stormwater management, water and wastewater systems, roadways, and parking, including construction detailing and specifications.
Prepare inventory assessments, analyses, and reports.
Develop professional services proposals.
Manage clients and develop new business opportunities.
Oversee multiple projects, schedules, and budgets.
Develop technical approaches to projects and participate in public presentations and speaking engagements.
Qualifications
B.S. in Civil Engineering.
10+ years of experience with demonstrated success in a professional consulting environment.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
Strong technical writing, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with clients, project teams, and colleagues.
Solid CAD design skills; experience with Civil 3D is a plus.
Experience with SEQRA and municipal site plan approval processes.
