RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support infrastructure for on-air broadcast production systems Manage Studio Operations including lighting, video processing systems, and cameras Operate Live Control Room production systems and subsystems Maintain infrastructure systems including routers, intercom, monitoring, KVM, Editing suites, and other live production gear Respond to, communicate, manage, and track technical issues during live production Perform maintenance of subsystems including software and hardware updates, modifications, and replacements Implement and maintain process standards for deployment and develop support documentation Work hands-on with the latest production systems and technologies Participate in support rotation and provide remote support as needed WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Engineering Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent, and/or equivalent work experience 8+ years of broadcast production and live television experience Experience with file-based workflows and enterprise Media Asset Management systems Experience with AWS, Harmonic, SRT, RTMP, DEVOPS, Microsoft, and Apple OS environments Proficiency with manual and electric mechanical tools Knowledge of SMPTE standards such as ST 292M, ST 424M, ST 2110, ST 2059, IEE1588, ST 2022-7, SCTE-104 Strong troubleshooting skills for broadcast equipment including routers, switchers, audio boards, etc. Ability to troubleshoot audio/video signals in SDI and IP ST 2110 environments Understanding of studio technologies including video walls, cameras, VR sets, and lighting Knowledge of multi-viewer systems and their interfaces Basic understanding of production control automation and workflows Working knowledge of MS Windows platforms Basic knowledge of AWS infrastructure including S3/Glacier and EC2 Audio skills including Dante, AES67, and digital mixers are a plus Knowledge of IT/networking principles and best practices Ability to replace hardware components and troubleshoot proprietary broadcast equipment Basic QAM RF system experience and satellite TVRO knowledge is a plus Ability to interpret technical documentation including AutoCAD, Visio, and Lucid Charts Strong multitasking, independent work, and teamwork skills Flexible schedule for live production needs, including overtime Physical ability to handle equipment in racks Excellent communication skills and a passion for learning
