The Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) at Inova Fairfax Medical is hiring an experienced CVOR RN! We are seeking an RN with a minimum of 2 years of experience specializing in the CVOR. Our program is the 9th busiest heart transplant program in the country as of January 2023 and performed a total of 100 transplants (heart and lung) in our cardiac ORs in 2022. We are also in the top 2% in the country for TAVR volume.

Full-time; Day shift (10 or 13-hour shifts). Must be available to take call and rotate weekends, holidays, and off-shifts. The CVOR is located on the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus within the Inova Heart and Vascular Institute (IHVI) for adult cardiac surgery and Inova Women’s and Children’s Hospital for pediatric/congenital cardiac surgery. The CVORs are state-of-the-art with Stryker integrated video and a Philips (Single Plane) Hybrid OR with a total of 7 operating rooms serving all cardiac surgery needs, including thoracic organ transplant (heart and lung), mechanical circulatory support, structural heart, congenital, and advanced aortic surgery. Advocates for patient rights and provides counseling and resources. Considers ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients and assists staff in assessing learning needs. Requirements: Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in a Cardiovascular Operating Room as a Registered Nurse. Preferred:
Completion of AORN's Periop 101 curriculum. Education:
BSN or ADN from an accredited nursing school. If ADN, must complete BSN within 5 years. License:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia. Certification:
