Lead Systems Engineer

Venturi, LLC, a Chenega Company, has an exciting career opportunity for a Lead Systems Engineer who will provide coordinated communications integration support to the THAAD Chief Engineer for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the THAAD Engineering Lead for the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide systems and interoperability engineering, analysis, and technical guidance regarding the THAAD weapon system with international partners.
Assist the Engineering Lead with managing the technical aspects of all assigned force design work.
Assist with international Tactical Data Link Architecture and attend data link conferences.
Collaborate and coordinate on force design technical efforts with multiple external agencies and stakeholders.
Identify deficiencies and shortcomings in planned or ongoing design reviews and provide options for fixing them.
Document and communicate interim and final technical findings and results in a clear manner that is understandable to senior-level decision makers.
Participate in regular and ad hoc force design meetings and technical exchanges.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
MS degree in STEM and 12+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project.
Active Secret clearance.
Technical understanding and experience with missile defense or radar systems.
Develop and present reports and presentations to senior management-level personnel.
Exceptional written and verbal skills.
Experience with DoD terrestrial and satellite communication systems (MILSATCOM).
Ability to work independently and/or lead teams to analyze and resolve problems.
Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency, Ballistic Missile Defense System, and/or THAAD Program Office work efforts.
Proficiency in system engineering and execution processes.
Prior experience with Tactical data links (TDL J, Link 11, Link 16) systems, encryption systems, precision timing systems (PNT), and DoD RMF.
Desired:
Military experience with Air Defense Artillery, THAAD, and/or CDLI-M.
Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Experience working within a collaborative environment among Government, prime contractor, sub-contractor, and supporting contractor personnel in badge-less environments.
Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Experience within Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to work independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks, applying engineering rigor to solve problems.
In-depth practical and theoretical technical/engineering knowledge.
Working knowledge of missile defense system components and mission.
Familiarity with DoD and MDA processes and procedures.
Ability to work in a high-paced environment while coordinating with multiple organizations and leadership.
Proficient with Microsoft software applications.
Ability to execute and complete tasks with no supervision.
Ability to travel 20-25% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
