The person in this role will provide mental health counseling, crisis intervention, and counseling-related services with the goal of helping University students establish a plan to develop positive mental health practices, set and reach personal goals, and improve their quality of life. Essential Functions
Clinical responsibilities: Conducts weekly intakes
Provides short-term individual, couple, and group counseling to students presenting with developmental, psychiatric, and academic concerns
Provides triage coverage and crisis intervention, including occasional after-hours crisis response
Provides case management as needed
Provides consultation to faculty, staff, and third-party stakeholders (e.g., responding to distressed students)
Outreach Responsibilities: Provides wellness workshops and other educational outreach activities to the campus community (some after hours)
Participates in campus-wide events and activities
Administrative responsibilities include: Attends all staff meetings, one-on-one meetings, clinical team meetings, and other Divisional and University meetings as scheduled
Schedules appointments using Titanium Schedule
Completes clinical notes in a timely manner using Titanium Schedule
Follows centers policies and procedures consistent with state mental health statutes, ethical guidelines, best practices, HIPAA, and FERPA. Qualifications/Requirements
A Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work is required.
Must be licensed in the state of Florida as a psychologist, mental health counselor, or social worker
3-5 years of relevant experience. Previous experience working with students preferred.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
