Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain DHS suitability clearance, as required by federal contract. Summary:
The Cloud Engineer will provide engineering expertise in building, securing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure for DHS CISA. This role focuses on deploying mission-critical workloads in compliant environments while supporting modernization and Zero Trust initiatives. Responsibilities: Deploy and manage workloads in AWS GovCloud and Azure Gov. Automate provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools. Implement Zero Trust and FedRAMP-compliant security configurations. Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and optimize performance. Collaborate with architects, developers, and security engineers to align cloud solutions with DHS mission needs. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or cloud operations. Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud environments. Strong understanding of DHS, NIST, and FedRAMP cloud security standards. Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
