Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to manage and support construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Document Control, Requests for Information (RFIs), version control, and project management. This role involves coordinating with clients, project teams and 3rd-party engineering review, ensuring compliance with project contract specifications, and maintaining efficient workflows to meet deadlines and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination : Support the project manager in overseeing pre-construction and on-site construction activities, ensuring alignment with project plans, schedules, and budgets. Document Management : Review and manage project documentation, including drawings, submittals, RFIs, and schedules, ensuring accurate and timely updates. RFI Processing : Prepare, track, and resolve Requests for Information (RFIs) to address design or construction issues, coordinating with vendors, engineers, and subcontractors. Version Control : Maintain strict version control for project documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure all stakeholders work with the latest revisions. Site Inspections : Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards and project requirements. Subcontractor Coordination : Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to troubleshoot any issues with materials and services, resolving any on-site issues. Project Reporting : Generate and distribute progress reports, meeting minutes, and other documentation to keep stakeholders informed. Schedule Management : Assist Project Managers in developing and updating project schedules using tools like Procore or MS Project, identifying potential delays and proposing solutions. Quality Control : Ensure work meets project specifications, building codes, and industry standards through regular quality checks and coordination with QA/QC teams. Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Experience : 2-5 years of experience as a project engineer in construction, with on-site project management experience. Experience managing RFIs and maintaining version control for project documents. Technical Skills : Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contracts. Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Soft Skills : Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with diverse teams. Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail. Other Requirements : Ability to work on-site full-time and travel to project locations as needed. Valid driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications
