Scope:

A Scientist-Contractor will be responsible for technical support to the Neutrogena manufacturing facility and general marketed product support for cosmetic, personal care, and OTC monograph drug products. This individual will work, under supervision, in a team environment with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Product Development, Technical Transfer, Analytical Development, Microbiology, Regulatory, and Marketing personnel. Responsibilities

• Provide technical service support related to continuous LAP manufacturing facility improvements, including executing studies to support product bulk hold time, raw material stability, and compatibility studies. • Collaborate across functional groups to accomplish studies and implement changes. • Conduct NC/CAPA investigations, develop Action Plans, and perform Verification/Validation activities, including root cause analysis. Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Materials/Polymer Science, Chemistry, or related science discipline, with 3 years of professional experience; or M.S. with 0-3 years of experience. • Extensive knowledge of emulsion theory, design, and processing. • Experience with beauty products and emulsion processes. • Understanding of cGMPs and FDA compliance requirements. • Experience in developing semi-solid products or process development. • Strong knowledge of physical chemistry, chemistry, and material sciences. • Experience with formulated products such as emulsions, surfactants, toothpastes, suspensions, etc. • Problem-solving skills: proactively seek solutions, analyze systematically, develop alternatives, and act decisively. • Ability to handle day-to-day challenges, thrive in uncertain circumstances, and work collaboratively across teams. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Commitment to quality, timeliness, and reliability. • Strong technical writing skills and understanding of quality and regulatory compliance. • Ability to work independently and meet schedules. • Computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office. • Additional skills acquired on the job may include site-specific software and SOPs developed by the client.
