Associate/Full Professor – Oregon State University (School of Psychological Science). To start Fall 2026.
Position The School of Psychological Science at Oregon State University (OSU) invites applications for a full-time tenured faculty position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor to begin Fall 2026. The ideal candidate will join the leadership of the new and quickly growing Clinical Science PhD program which is pursuing APA and PCSAS accreditation.
Responsibilities Applicants must hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology or a closely related field, with a strong commitment to the advancement of clinical science. This position is part of a multi-line, multi-year investment in clinical science research and teaching. Our Clinical Science model centers on rigorous training in the science and practice of evidence-based interventions, reaching diverse populations who may lack access to mental health care, and the wise use of technology in clinical psychological service. The candidate is expected to create impact by contributing to inclusive excellence in the unit, in alignment with the institution’s Diversity Action Plan. The successful candidate will lead a productive research program directly applicable to clinical science in any area. Teaching responsibilities include typically 4 courses on the 4-quarter system (e.g., 1-2-1-0) at the undergraduate or graduate level, with course buyouts available for activities such as mentoring graduate students, conducting grant-funded research, and/or engaging in administrative tasks (e.g., Director of Clinical Training role).
Context OSU holds both “very high research activity” and “Community Engagement” classifications from the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. OSU is in Corvallis, Oregon, a city with notable rankings and access to trails and recreation. The city is about 1.5 hours from Portland, 1 hour from the Pacific Coast, and 2 hours from the Cascades.
