The Catering Sales Manager will lead efforts to solicit, book, plan, and coordinate meetings and functions while maximizing banquet space to meet and exceed revenue goals. The role requires collaboration with clients to plan event logistics, menu planning, and décor, and preparation of contracts and proposals in coordination with internal teams to ensure seamless execution. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Proactively solicit, negotiate, and book high-profile and complex events, maximizing banquet space and exceeding catering revenue targets. Collaborate with clients to plan and detail meetings/functions, including event logistics, menu planning, and décor. Prepare contracts, proposals, and supporting documents; coordinate efforts with internal teams to ensure seamless execution. Identify and convert leads, employing creative selling techniques to secure business. Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers, including sales calls, prospecting, entertainment, bridal shows, etc. Conduct site inspections and understand time strategy as developed by Revenue Management. Understand and achieve team and individual goals; perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Guest Satisfaction Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and build long-term relationships to support future revenue growth. Coordinate and communicate with customers regarding event details; follow up post-event. Display leadership in guest hospitality and ensure consistent, high-level service across all event phases. Interact with guests to obtain feedback and address issues promptly. Leadership Apply broad business knowledge to lead the organization toward strategic goals. Take ownership of challenging situations to achieve results. Collaborate across departments to create a cohesive sales and service delivery approach. Champion a culture of excellence and innovation within the department. Managing Work Execution Ensure accountability and resources are in place to manage work execution and drive results. Demonstrate urgency and efficiency in managing priorities while achieving objectives. Balance responsibilities from client outreach to event management with strong organizational skills. Resolve obstacles and foster cross-functional collaboration; follow through on inquiries and complaints. Minimum 1 year of experience in catering sales, event planning, or a related field, preferably in a hotel environment. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets. Skills and Knowledge
Strong verbal and written English communication skills. Knowledge of hotel, Westmont, and brand policies and procedures. Advanced understanding of catering and banquet operations, F&B trends, and event logistics. Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems (Envision or similar platforms). Exceptional sales, negotiation, and closing skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure. Effective presenting and relationship-building abilities with clients and internal teams. Knowledge of Envision/Social Tables or similar programs.
