Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week Work Pattern: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. The service operates Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 8:00pm, and the successful candidate will need to be available to work within these hours as required. Contract Type: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract from start date Location: Hybrid role – work primarily remotely from home, with some work in the community; location discussed further at interview

Hours: Part Time – 30 hours per week Work Pattern: 4 days per week, 9am to 5pm Contract Type: Permanent Contract Location: Hybrid role – remote from home, in the communities covering South Norfolk and the City Centre Norwich Salary: Based on qualification level; for part time hours salary will be pro rata Band 5 (£31,049 per annum): Counsellors without accreditation or with limited training in talking therapies; Band 6 (£38,682 per annum): Counsellors who are accredited with a professional body and hold a talking therapies/IAPT qualification
Salary notes : The salary will be based on your qualification level, for part time hours your salary will be pro rata. Band 5 and Band 6 details are as listed above. Important requirements : Due to the nature of the role a driver licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role; mileage is paid at 45p per mile for cars after your home to work base mileage is deducted. Organisation : My name’s Keir Brisbane-Langsdon and I’m the Head of Counselling Services in Norfolk and Waveney Mind. Our Talking Therapies Counselling Service works as part of the NHS to offer free at the point of access, effective brief therapy interventions within the community. We aim to reduce waits for counselling and you will offer a variety of counselling interventions; adapting to client needs, contributing to a vibrant team of counsellors and supervisors, and making a positive impact on the local community. Role Responsibilities : The post holder will provide individual and group counselling interventions for clients with common mental health problems as appropriate to meet service-user needs. They will monitor their performance and outcomes in conjunction with their clinical supervisor and the wider team. The post holder will be a fully qualified counsellor and BACP/UKCP (or other accepted professional body) accredited or working towards accreditation. May be required to complete NHS Talking Therapies training in Counselling for Depression or IPT and any future training requirements. The postholder will work within a stepped care approach with clients who present with depression and sometimes comorbid anxiety. Service Delivery : A percentage of clinical contact hours will include counselling suitability assessments; assessments and treatments will be provided face to face and by videocall/telephone as per client preference and approved by the Clinical Lead. The postholder will work with people from different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary, and will work in various community locations such as GP surgeries. Hybrid working is considered with a minimum of 3 days in the community on a part-time equivalent basis; this requirement is subject to change in the future.
