The Ethics Program seeks a full-time continuing non-tenure faculty member whose primary responsibility will be to teach ETH 2050 (The Good Life: Ethics and Contemporary Moral Problems), a critical element of the core curriculum for undergraduates. 4/4 teaching load and service to the Ethics Program. Faculty have an opportunity to teach an ethics elective once a year after their first year. While there is no research expectation, faculty are expected to remain current in their field of expertise. Villanova has a promotion process for faculty in this position. Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order. Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates should be on schedule to complete their Ph.D.s by the start date of the position; expertise in Christian ethics, and competency in philosophical ethics; OR expertise in philosophical ethics, with a competency in Christian ethics. Preferred Qualifications:
A completed Ph.D. at time of application; competency in some area of applied ethics. Physical Requirements
