First Baptist Church of Lewisburg, TN, is seeking a part-time Worship Leader/Worship Minister. FBC is a growing church seeking to incorporate a blended style of worship. This individual will oversee all aspects of the music ministry and report directly to the Lead Pastor.
Qualifications:
Demonstrates a mature and growing Christian faith, reflecting the biblical qualifications for church leadership as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
Affirms and lives in accordance with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
Possesses a genuine passion for worship and a desire to lead others in glorifying God through music.
Demonstrates musical proficiency, preferably with experience leading worship in a blended setting (choir directing and instrumentalists’ organization). Instrumental proficiency is a plus.
Ability to recruit, train, and develop volunteer musicians, vocalists, and choir members.
Ability to direct the choir and incorporate additional aspects of praise and worship.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
A servant’s heart and a team-oriented approach.
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and lead worship services in collaboration with the Lead Pastor, ensuring that music selections complement the sermon and encourage overall congregational worship.
Oversee all aspects of the music ministry, including but not limited to:
Selecting and arranging music Leading choir and instrumental practice Managing the music equipment Coordinating with the tech team
Previous work with Proclaim Presentation Software is a plus!
Give direction to music/choir for preschool, children, and youth. Developing and managing the music ministry budget Recruit, train, and mentor volunteer musicians, vocalists, and choir members, fostering a culture of spiritual growth and musical excellence. Lead the congregation in worship, cultivating an atmosphere that is both reverent and engaging. Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and other church staff to plan special music events and services (e.g., Christmas, Easter). Maintain proper licensing agreements for all music used in worship services. Serve as a spiritual leader and mentor for the worship team. Attend church staff meetings and other relevant meetings as required. Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor.
