HR Payroll & Benefits Administrator

is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll and the administration of employee benefits programs. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal company policies. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid working knowledge of payroll systems and benefits administration. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Administration: Process payroll for all employees, including wage adjustments, bonuses, deductions, and taxes. Maintain and audit payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance. Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teams on payroll reporting and reconciliations. Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and internal payroll policies. Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and 401(k). Assist employees with benefits enrollment, status changes, and ongoing inquiries. Manage annual open enrollment and coordinate benefit communication materials. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee benefit records; process provider invoices. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure full compliance with all payroll and benefits-related federal, state, and local regulations. Prepare and file required documentation and reports, such as W-2s, 1095-Cs, and EEO-1s. Assist with internal and external audits by preparing and submitting relevant payroll and benefits documentation. Stay informed of changes in laws and regulations related to payroll and benefits, and recommend necessary policy or process updates. Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in payroll and/or benefits administration. Working knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, UKG, Workday, or similar platforms). Solid understanding of benefits-related regulations, including ACA, COBRA, ERISA, and FMLA. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. The base pay range for this position is $80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr, with additional compensation types including an annual bonus.
