Overview This position involves supporting various outreach and administrative activities within the Dean's Office, focusing on promoting events, assisting in student recruitment, and supporting departmental initiatives.
Responsibilities
Promote all events on social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.
Support recruiting initiatives for undergraduate and graduate programs, including attending open houses, scholarship receptions, and orientations.
Create opportunities to yield accepted students in A&S by working with faculty and key stakeholders.
Assist in donor relations and event planning.
Use social media, email, and phone communication to engage prospective students.
Collaborate with department chairs to host events aimed at recruiting new students.
Coordinate Dean’s Undergraduate Student Cabinet meetings twice a month.
Answer phone lines in the Dean’s Office in the absence of staff.
Assist in developing the Annual Report.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean and Dean’s Office.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and acceptance into a SHU Graduate Program.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Professional demeanor with high attention to detail.
Ability to interpret and analyze data.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
