HR & Payroll Administrative Assistant
to join their team
immediately . This is a
temp-to-hire
opportunity with direct exposure to executive leadership and a fast track to career growth. This role is perfect for someone with
1–2 years of experience
in HR or payroll who wants to grow into a manager-level position within the next year or two. The company is scaling rapidly, and the right person will play a key part in building HR and payroll operations. Responsibilities Assist with
bi-weekly payroll processing
for several hundred hourly and salaried employees Enter and validate timecard data; follow up on missing or incorrect entries Maintain accurate employee data in the payroll and HRIS systems (such as ADP or Paylocity) Track PTO, sick time, and ensure proper pay calculations for regular and overtime hours Support employee onboarding, terminations, and changes in employment status or compensation Handle employee file management and ensure compliance with company and legal documentation requirements Provide administrative support to the Chief HR Officer on daily HR and payroll operations Serve as a point of contact for employee payroll and HR-related inquiries Assist with reporting, audits, and ad hoc projects in support of the HR and payroll functions Qualifications 1–2 years of experience in Human Resources or Payroll support Familiarity with ADP, Paylocity, or similar payroll/HRIS platforms preferred Highly organized with strong attention to detail Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset Must be comfortable working in a
blue-collar, warehouse/office environment 100% on-site role
in Lorton/Springfield — must be available to work on-site Monday through Friday Additional Information Reports directly to a highly supportive and experienced CHRO Significant growth opportunity — role is expected to evolve into a management track Casual, fast-paced, and down-to-earth work culture Seniority level
