Texas Children's Hospital Job Description We are searching for an Inpatient Education Coordinator - Adult Congenital Heart Disease who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide education and administrative support for unit operations to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the key educational processes at the unit level. Responsibilities

Design, implement, and evaluate a cost-effective unit-based orientation pathway for each job, and tailor orientation to staff learning needs based on feedback from orientees, preceptors, and leadership. Coordinate and conduct required training to close performance gaps in knowledge and skills using organizational policies, unit performance data, and accrediting standards; develop and implement unit-specific training to improve performance. Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and document patient care; develop an individualized plan of care with input from patients and families and ensure initiation within 24 hours of admission; communicate plans to the health care team and document appropriately. Orient and develop preceptors; manage unit-based clinical experiences for students and ensure a positive clinical experience, measured by feedback from students, faculty, and leadership. Participate in Quality Outcomes Programs and unit-based quality initiatives to monitor nursing outcomes; collaborate with leadership to address performance issues and evaluate action plans. Provide administrative support for unit operations, adjust staff schedules to support orientation needs, and assume on-call responsibilities as needed. Comply with respiratory fit testing requirements as part of a safe and healthy workplace. Requirements

Required bachelor’s degree in Nursing Required 2 years clinical nursing experience and 1 year preceptor or educator experience preferred RN license in Texas (Texas Board of Nursing) or Nursing Licensure Compact BLS certification by the American Heart Association Critical Care nursing experience highly preferred About Us
