Human Resources Coordinator (Full-time, Non-Exempt, Monday-Friday) Northampton, MA Pay Range: $24.04-$26.92 per hour Position Overview: The Human Resources Coordinator will manage critical HR processes, including talent acquisition support, onboarding of new employees, credentialing and background checks, employee recordkeeping, and compliance oversight. Key Responsibilities: Support the recruitment process by posting jobs, managing applicant tracking systems and communicating with applicants. Coordinate the pre-employment processes including preparing and distributing new hire packets, offer letters, and onboarding materials. Schedule and facilitate new hire orientations, including benefits presentations, policy reviews, and organizational overviews. Process all background checks and pre-employment degree and licensure verifications in accordance with required documentation and agency policies. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all I-9 and other required employment documentation. Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex, and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Oversee ongoing compliance audits, including licensure renewals, motor vehicle checks, and TB screening compliance. Assist with employee transitions by managing paperwork and procedures for promotions, transfers and terminations while maintaining proper retention of employee HRIS and personnel records across the employee lifecycle. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. At least one year of human resources experience preferred. PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification a plus. Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
