The Department of Secondary Education, K-12 Education and Educational Technology at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions. This listing is for potential future needs for part-time affiliate instructors of Secondary Education. For more information about the department, visit:

Located in downtown Denver, we are a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), an INSIGHT into Diversity Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award winner for 10 consecutive years, and the only Seal of Excelencia certified institution in Colorado. We serve the most diverse undergraduate student population in the state, including many first-generation and DACA students. The university values applicants with experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a commitment to increasing access to higher education for underrepresented groups. Responsibilities
Teach 1 - 9 credit hours per semester and be available for student consultation. Responsibilities include teaching courses in the Secondary Education sequence, such as foundations of educational psychology and philosophy, multicultural education, classroom management, planning, and assessment. There may also be opportunities to supervise field experiences. Additional duties include delivering course content in person or online, preparing materials, grading, providing feedback, advising students, and offering academic support. Candidates should be adaptable to different modes of instruction and sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse student body. Required Qualifications
Master's degree Preferred Qualifications
ABD or completed Doctorate Middle and/or high school teaching experience Terms of Employment
Part-time, at-will employment on a per credit hour basis, usually semester-by-semester. No benefits are provided. Teaching is contingent on budget and enrollment, and in-person teaching on campus is expected upon hire. Salary
