The Opportunity
We are seeking an
Alumni Onboarding Specialist
for a hybrid role based in Lindale, Texas, focused on enhancing the volunteer experience for alumni. This role involves managing the onboarding process, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring alumni are supported and well-prepared for their volunteer opportunities. Key Responsibilities Advocate for alumni volunteers, ensuring a seamless and positive onboarding experience. Manage and improve onboarding workflows, addressing bottlenecks and ensuring quality standards. Coordinate with recruiting teams, national offices, ship leadership, and resource managers to facilitate effective communication and placement. Provide training and guidance to alumni, and serve as a point of contact for support during onboarding. Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to process enhancements. The Ideal Candidate Possesses excellent customer service and communication skills. Has strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. Supports Mercy Ships’ mission and values, demonstrating servant leadership and integrity. Requirements At least 1 year of experience in volunteer coordination, human resources, or related fields.
