Floral experience is strongly desired. *Please note this job is NOT a Monday-Friday position. Class begins on Sundays and will require additional time to ensure the students have a good experience. Not all classes are held in the Jacksonville office; some travel and driving rental vans will be required. Floriology Institute is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Floriology Education Assistant to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. The Education Assistant will be instrumental in preparing and maintaining materials and environments for classroom learning and online engagement, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience for students. Process flowers for classes and photo shoots, ensuring all materials are ready and available for instructors and students. This includes cleaning and maintaining the cooler, workroom, classroom, and floral containers. Physical labor involved includes setting up tables, cleaning the classroom, sanitizing buckets, moving water-filled buckets of flowers in and out of the cooler and classroom. Oversee the inventory of flowers and supplies, conducting regular checks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely ordering and replenishment. Physical tasks include carrying supplies to and from the supply room on the second floor of the warehouse and organizing stored supplies. Provide assistance in the classroom and to students, fostering a supportive learning environment. This includes driving students to and from the school, meeting students at the hotel at 7:30 AM, and transporting them after 5 PM. Work some Saturdays and Sundays, with possible overtime. Catering for photo shoots and classes should be prepared weeks in advance. Utilize Salesforce to input student leads, engage with potential students through calls, emails, and texts, and maintain a billing spreadsheet for financial tracking. Additional responsibilities include crafting newsletters, student reminders, and supporting the Floriology Digital Magazine as needed. Handle design work, video editing, updating the Thinkific website, and posting to social media platforms including Pinterest and Google. Develop a monthly content posting schedule to ensure timely and relevant updates. Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining an organized work environment, supporting billing and invoicing, researching class topics, creating quizzes, grading exams, shooting and editing videos and images, and maintaining a databank for future use. Requirements 2 to 3 years experience in floral retail, specifically in floral design High School Diploma; BA in Marketing, Digital Marketing, PR, or Communications preferred Experience with Mac computers preferred Seniority level
