Overview
The objective of the Infusion Collections is to assist the Reimbursement Supervisor with the billing and collection process for all MIDC branches. This is a full-time,
in-person
position at the office located in
Burr Ridge, IL.
Schedule:
Monday- Friday (in-person)
Responsibilities
Assist Reimbursement Supervisor in collecting intake information, verifying insurance benefits, and negotiating insurance payment rates as necessary for all new patients
Complete Authorization process
Perform insurance and billing functions for all branches
Provide explanation of charges as necessary to payers and patients
Assist Reimbursement Supervisor in posting cash in computerized account function as needed
Monitor unbillables and provide status reports to the Reimbursement Supervisor
Track and collect all documentation necessary to complete billing function
Follow up with insurance companies and patients on any outstanding balances
Develop mutually agreeable payment schedules in cooperation with insurers and patients
Provide appropriate documentation with all printed claims
Review Clearing House for claim rejections / errors
Perform re-determinations and appeals as needed
Other duties and tasks as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Experience in medical collection practices required
Experience in Microsoft Suite and Outlook Preferred
Experience in CPR+ and/or CareTend preferred
Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19.
