Assistant Director of Athletics Ticket Sales Location: New Orleans, LA Responsibilities
The Assistant Director of Athletics Ticket Sales generates ticket sales for Tulane Athletics events. This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director of Ticket Sales & Customer Service. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
include: Ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion with regard to interpersonal relationships. Outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent decision-making skills, solid judgment and interpersonal effectiveness. An interest and ability in serving others as one of the primary functions of their job. Ability to interact effectively with customers, coaches, administrators, student athletes and coworkers. Strong organizational, management and leadership skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and use utmost discretion when privy to sensitive information. Proven ability to multi-task effectively. Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines. Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and social media. Availability to work flexible work schedule including nights and weekends. Thorough knowledge of NCAA and American Athletic Conference rules and regulations. NCAA Related:
Ensures that all Department of Athletics and University related activities operate in full compliance with university, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations. Attends and participates in scheduled compliance seminars and complies with all the Athletic Department’s efforts to monitor compliance with NCAA regulations. Seeks interpretations from the compliance staff before acting when necessary. Reports potential rules violations immediately. Completes required compliance paperwork in a timely and efficient manner. Monitors all of their areas and/or programs activities closely to maintain compliance with applicable rules and regulations. Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree 1 year of sales experience (includes experience with a computerized ticket system) OR 7 years of sales experience (includes experience with a computerized ticket system) if no Bachelor’s Degree Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Division I Intercollegiate Athletics Completion of ticket sales training courses Compensation Information
This position is classified as "exempt, salaried" and is assigned to pay grade 22.
